A computer-implemented invention (CII) is a solution to a technical problem that involves the use of any computer, computer network or other programmable apparatus, where one or more features are realized wholly or partly by means of a computer program.
Nowadays, a large part of technology developments takes place in the digital world, for instance by analyzing large sets of data, correcting or compensating for physical impairments by digital signal processing.
