We are looking for a Patent Attorney with a degree in ICT, mechanics, electronics, telecommunication or related technical fields.
You will advise innovating companies and you will be intensively involved in all important aspects of the protection of their innovation (intellectual property (IP) strategy, protection, active management, defense, valuation, etc.) Your close contacts with your colleagues within GEVERS is here an important advantage to ensure the best possible services. You will protect the interests of the clients with the Belgian Patent Office, with the European Patent Office and with other foreign offices. You may also defend the interests of the clients in national and international Courts, together with lawyers. You have the final responsibility in the patent cases and clients that you deal with, in your technical field.
You have a university degree or equivalent with a degree in ICT, mechanics, electronics, telecommunication or related technical fields – Preferably you have passed the EQE or part of it – Keen interest in the legal and commercial aspects of IP – You have an excellent command of French and you are fluent in English, written and oral – Client orientated, flexible and commercial attitude – Responsible with an eye for precision – Proven track record of working to tight deadlines and achieving them – Eager to learn and flexible – Motivated with a positive attitude – You are able to integrate in a team and take part in the development of the business for the local office.
