A patent engineer with a degree in ICT, mechanics, electronics, telecommunications or similar technical fields to join our dynamic team.
You will advise innovative companies and are directly involved in all aspects of protecting their innovation (intellectual property (IP) strategy, protection, active management, defense, valuation, etc.) – You will work in close contact with your colleagues within GEVERS an important asset to provide clients with our 360° GEVERS service – You defend the client’s interests before the Belgian and European Patent Office as well as before other foreign offices – You can also defend the clients’ interests before national and international courts, in collaboration with our mandated lawyers – You have the final responsibility for the patent cases and clients you deal with in your technical field.
You have preferably a Ph.D. in ICT, mechanics, electronics, telecommunication or similar technical fields – You preferably have passed the EQE or part of it. Nevertheless, depending on your motivation, this position could represent your first experience in the field of intellectual property – You have an interest in the legal and commercial aspects of intellectual property – You have an excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken – Customer oriented with a flexible and commercial attitude – Responsible with an eye for accuracy – Proven ability to work with tight deadlines and to respect them – Eager to learn – Motivated with a positive attitude – Able to integrate in a team and to participate in the development of the local office’s activity.
