Who are we looking for?
A Patent Attorney with a degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, medicinal chemistry or related technical fields to join our dynamic team.
Your responsibilities
You will advise innovating companies and be intensively involved in all aspects of protecting their innovation (intellectual property (IP) strategy, protection, active management, defense, valuation, etc.) – Your close contact with colleagues within GEVERS is an important advantage to ensure the best possible services – You will protect the interests of clients with the Belgian and European Patent Office, as well as with other foreign offices – You may also defend the interests of clients in national and international courts, together with our appointed lawyers – You have the final responsibility in the patent cases and clients that you deal with in your technical field.
Your profile
You have a qualification as European Patent Attorney and/or Belgian Patent Attorney or at least 2 years experience in IP – You have a PhD in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, medicinal chemistry or related technical fields – Keen interest in the legal and commercial aspects of IP –Excellent command of French and fluent in English, written and oral. Knowledge of Dutch is considered a plus – Client-orientated, flexible and commercial attitude – Responsible with an eye for precision – Proven track record of working with tight deadlines and achieving them – Eager to learn and flexible – Motivated with a positive attitude –You are able to integrate in a team and take part in the development of the business for the local office.
