We are looking to expand our team with a dynamic colleague providing administrative support to the attorneys, and engaging with clients regarding their needs in the field of intellectual property (mainly trademarks, designs and domain names). Our new Office/IP Assistant must have good communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to prioritize tasks. A friendly and professional attitude is a must.
You would provide general administrative support to the team as well as act as a first point of contact for clients. Key responsibilities include answering telephone calls and welcoming visitors, creating quotations, filing trademark applications, and providing basic information and advice to clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling incoming/outgoing mail, case creation and follow-up, as well as managing office supplies.
The ideal candidate should have an excellent command of Dutch and English (other languages are a plus) and, preferably, hold a degree in Administrative Orientation or Office Management (or similar). Candidates should be familiar with common IT applications such as Word/Excel/Outlook and be willing to learn the ins and outs of our IP Management System. In our line of work, an eye for detail and accuracy are indispensable.
We will provide you with job-specific training in the fascinating legal area that is intellectual property law. You will be able to work in an international context and handle interesting and varied tasks within a dynamic team. We offer a full-time contract for an indefinite period along with an attractive salary package supplemented by non-statutory benefits including meal vouchers, group and hospital insurance, eco-vouchers etc. While our modern office is very conveniently located right next to the Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station, we promote flexible working (both in terms of homeworking policy and in terms of flexible hours) to ensure a genuine work-life balance.
