Pieter’s practice focuses primarily on commercial transactions, IP strategy and trademark prosecution. Pieter advises on commercial transactions relating to the acquisition, licensing and exploitation of intellectual property rights. Pieter has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating domestic and cross-border intellectual property agreements. He also counsels clients on IP strategies that tie into his client’s overall business objectives and help them gain valuable guidance on portfolio management. He also practices in the area of EU and international trademark prosecution across a broad range of industries including advising clients on the clearance, adoption and prosecution of trademarks, enforcement in the form of opposition, cancellation and infringement actions, and drafting and negotiating worldwide coexistence agreements. Pieter is an accomplished speaker on intellectual property matters, particularly in the area of tech transfer. He is also a regular guest speaker at the University of Antwerp.
