These requirements shall be considered in relation to the state of the art, which is held to comprise:
- Everything made available to the public:
This includes all territories and languages, but excludes confidential disclosures
- By means of written or oral description, by use or in any other way:
This includes showing an example of the invention to just one person
- Before the date of filing of the patent:
This includes disclosures by the inventor and/or patentee before the filing date.
