Her industry background in material sciences, chemistry, life sciences, pharmaceutical and agri-food in conjunction with her dual qualification as a European patent attorney and lawyer make her an extremely unique expert in IP business counselling.


Based on a broad international experience, Eva provides world class IP solutions. She specializes in landscaping, ideation workshops, IP audits, patent portfolio reviews, robust trade secret policies and patent enforcement strategies. Eva translates business strategies in effective and holistic IP protection programs.


Moreover, Eva has a proven track record of leveraging patents in support of business strategies. In this respect, Eva obtained preliminary injunctions, an inspection orders and border enforcement of European patents.Another important aspect for Eva’s team is securing Freedom-to-Operate for businesses. Eva successfully attacked blocking third party patents at the European Patent Office and devised strategies to navigate complex IP situations. Equally important, Eva successfully defended European patents in opposition and appeal proceedings. Key to success was the in-depth-knowledge of the European Patent Office’s functioning, the detailed analysis of the state of the art and a structured implication of the case law.


Through her patent research at the Max-Planck-Institute for Innovation in Munich and her appointment to the Examination Committees of the European Patent Office in Munich, Eva enjoys a wide and effective network that puts her at the forefront of legal developments in European Patent Law making client-consultant relations prosper even more. Additionally, at the beginning of her professional career Eva worked both for lawyers admitted to the German Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe, Germany, and the Cour de Cassation in Paris, France, gaining valuable experience in final instance patent litigations.Finally, research and development being increasingly regulated, Eva leverages her high level public sector experience from ENA (Ecole Nationale d’Administration in Paris/Strasbourg) for protecting innovation around regulatory requirements and compliance. She also publishes regularly in law journals and gives presentations on new IP developments.


Eva holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural sciences from the University of Hohenheim in Germany and a Master’s Degree in Law from the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. She qualified as a European Patent Attorney and was admitted to the Munich Bar as a lawyer. Eva holds a PhD from the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich in Patent Law. Finally, Eva graduated from Ecole Nationale d’Administration in Strasbourg/Paris. She operates in English, French and German. Eva is married and has five children.
