Trainee Patent Attorney

With a degree in mechanics, electronics or related technical fields

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • High potential with a broad technical knowledge and a keen interest in the legal and commercial aspects of IP
  • Client orientated, flexible and commercial attitude
  • Proven track record of working to tight deadlines and achieving them

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will advise innovating companies and be involved in all aspects of their innovation’s protection (strategy, protection, active management, defense and valuation)
  • You collaborate with colleagues within the GEVERS Group to ensure best-in-class services
  • You will protect the interests of our clients with the Belgian and European Patent Office as well as instances
  • You will defend, together with lawyers, our clients’ interests
  • You will gain final responsibility in the cases and clients you deal with

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master degree in mechanics, electronics or related technical fields (PhD is considered a plus)
  • Mother tongue French with an excellent knowledge of English, written and oral (knowledge of Dutch considered a plus)
  • Sense of responsibility, stress resistance and flexibility are key
  • Motivated with a positive attitude
  • Able to integrate in the team and take part in the development of the business
