NB: When a new TLD is launched, the organisation in charge of managing and promoting the TLD can schedule a priority phase for trademark owners or any other holders of prior rights. This phase, commonly known as the “Sunrise” period, is dedicated to help prior rights holders to fight cybersquatting (in which a domain name corresponding to a trademark of another party is filed in order to benefit from the internet traffic or trademark reputation of the mark-holding company).
